Program - Code Input Method

Note: The RR1002 is preprogrammed to control Samsung TV. 
  1. Turn on the TV manually. 
  2. Press and hold the [SET] and [POWER] keys simultaneously for 3 seconds, allowing the indicator light to remain on. Then, release the keys. 
  3. Enter the 4-digit code of your brand TV from the code list at the end of this
    manual. After a valid code entry, the indicator turns off. The indicator flashes 4 times quickly for an invalid code and exits setup mode. 


Note: After entering code setup mode, if no button is pressed for 10 seconds, the remote will quit the setup mode.

Program – Shortcut Key Method

  1. Turn on the TV manually. 
  2. Press and hold [SET] and the respective TV brand key from the chart below.
    (0-9, +100, MUTE) simultaneously and continue to hold keys until the TV is powered off; the indicator light shall remain on for the duration; 


Now, the remote automatically searches for the code of that TV brand. If the TV is controlled (by powering it on or turning it off), release the buttons to save the code and quit programming.

Program – Manual Code Search

  1. Turn on TV. 
  2. Press and hold the [SET] key, then long-press the [CH+] key for about 5 seconds until the indicator light remains on. Release the keys. 
  3. Press and release the key [CH+] or [CH-], with each press code will
    change. If long press the [CH+] or [CH-] key code, it will change faster. When the channel changes, please quickly press the [SET] key to save the code.

Note: Pressing [CH+] scrolls forward, while [CH-] scrolls backward through the code database. If no key is pressed in 10 seconds, the setting will be exited automatically during the setting process.

Learning Function

  1. Press and hold the [SET] key, then simultaneously long-press the [VOL+]
    key for about 5 seconds; the indicator light will light and remain on. Release the two keys. Remote is now in learning mode. 
  2. Point the original remote toward the RR1002. The distance should be within 1-3 cm, and the remotes' eyes must be directly aligned. 
  3. Press the key you want to learn from the original remote control (the LED of RR1001 will keep flashing), then press any key of RR1002 to which you wish to assign the code. The indicator light will remain on. 
  4. Repeat Step 2 to continue learning other keys. 
  5. When all keys have been learned, press and hold the [SET] key, then simultaneously press [VOL-]. The indicator light will go out, and the learning will be saved and exited. 

Note: During the learning process, if no key is pressed in 25 seconds, the learning state will be exited without saving.

Code Identification

  1. Press and hold the [SET] and [POWER] keys simultaneously for 3 seconds; the indicator light shall remain on, then release the keys. 
  2. Input [9] [9] [0] with number keys. The indicator light will flash twice and
    turn off. 
  3. Press key [1], count the number of indicator light flashes, and write it down. 
  4. Press key [2], count the number of indicator light flashes, and write it down. 
  5. Press key [3], count the number of indicator light flashes, and write it down. 
  6. Press key [4], count the number of indicator light flashes, and write it down. 


Note: If the code number is 0. The indicator light will not flash.

Factory Reset

  1. Press and hold the [SET] and [POWER] keys simultaneously for 3 seconds. The indicator light will remain on. Release the keys. 
  2. Press the [CC] key, and the light will flash 3 times. The remote has now been reset to factory settings. 


Note: If the remote is reset to factory settings, the factory code can control 95% of the most popular TVs. 

Setting the Sleep Timer

Note: The SLEEP button operates your TV's Sleep function, providing it
supports the Sleep function. Alternatively, with the instructions provided in this section, you can enable the remote to turn off your TV after 1 to 99 minutes. This feature works even if your TV does not have its Sleep function. 

• First, make sure you have the remote programmed to your TV using one of the above programming methods. 

• After successfully programming your remote, try pressing the SLEEP button first and make sure the on-screen sleep option DOES NOT appear before continuing. You do not have to continue with the following steps if it does appear. 


  1. Press and hold the [SLEEP] key until the indicator light blinks and remains on, and then release the key. 
  2. Using the numerical pad, press numbers 01 - 99, depending on the number of minutes you would like before the TV turns off (E.g., if you press 01, the TV will turn off in 1 minute). Then, the indicator light will turn off. Your TV Sleep Timer is now set. 
  3. Leave the remote pointing towards the TV with an unobstructed path. 


Note: To cancel the sleep function, press and hold the [SLEEP] or [POWER] key for 3 seconds. Pressing any other additional buttons on the remote will not cancel the sleep timer. 

Setup Lock

  1. Press and hold the [SET] and [POWER] keys simultaneously for 3 seconds; the indicator light will remain on, then release the keys. 
  2. Input code using keys [9] [9] [6] [6]; the indicator light will flash five
    times. The remote is locked and cannot be programmed in any way unless these steps are repeated. 


Note: you can repeat the above steps to unlock the remote.

This unit will retain the programmed codes when changing the batteries.
