Installing Batteries
Please insert two AA batteries into the battery compartment behind the battery door on the
back of the remote. You may need to remove the screw securing the battery cover. Please
make sure to match polarities when installing the batteries. Slide the battery cover down
toward the bottom of the remote to remove it, then replace it after installing the batteries.
The battery cover screw is optional and is not needed to secure the battery cover to the
remote.
Programming - Code Input Method
- Turn on the device you want to control.
- Find the corresponding brand code from the attached code list and write it down.
- Press & hold the [OK] and [FIOS TV] keys simultaneously for about 3 seconds until
the indicator light remains on; release the keys. - Input the 4-digit code from the code list. a. If valid - the indicator light will go out directly. b. If invalid - the indicator light will blink three times quickly and go out; please try inputting the code again.
- Check to see if most of the keys work to control your device; if not, please try another code under the same brand & repeat all steps. You may also try the “Code search method.”
Note: During the programming mode, not pressing any button for 20 seconds will cause the remote to exit the programming mode.
Programming - Code search method
- Turn on the device you want to control.
- Press & hold the [OK] and [FIOS TV] keys simultaneously for about 3 seconds until
the indicator light remains on; release the keys. - Press & hold the [PLAY] key to enter “Code search method.”
- Release the key [PLAY] key when the device has a response.
- Check to see if most of the keys work to control your device; if not, please repeat all steps above.
Programming - One-button search method
- Turn on the device you want to control.
- Press & hold the [OK] and [FIOS TV] keys simultaneously for about 3 seconds until
the indicator light remotes on; release the keys. - Input code 996.
- Find your corresponding brand number from the below list, and press and hold the corresponding number key.
- Once the unit powers off, release the key and press any key to save.

Learning Feature
Note: the learning feature allows for programming individual key commands from any IR remote control. The Applicable keys are [POWER], [VOL+], [VOL-], [AV], [MUTE].
- Press & hold the [OK] and [PLAY] keys simultaneously for about 3 seconds until the
indicator light remains on; release the keys. - Press and release the key you want to be learned; the indicator light will flash slowly.
- Align both remotes by pointing them at each other at a distance of about 1-2 inches apart, with IR LEDs directly aligned.
- Press and hold the corresponding key on the target remote control until the indicator light flashes three times and remains illuminated; this means code learned successfully, continue to step 5. If the code learning was unsuccessful, please start over from step 1.
- Repeat steps 2-4 to learn the keys needed; press any key to save and exit.
Delete all learned keys
Press & hold the [TV POWER] and [OK] keys simultaneously for about 3 seconds until the
indicator light flashes twice; release the keys.
Input Lock
Note: This feature allows for always locking the input [A/V] key to send the code to the programmed TV and not the set-top box.
Press & hold the [VOL-] and [OK] keys simultaneously for about 3 seconds until the
indicator light flashes twice; release the keys.
Repeating this step will shift between enabled and disabled.
Enabled: [A/V] key will only transmit code for TV mode.
Disabled: [A/V] key will return to STB mode.
Volume Lock
Note: This feature allows locking the VOL+, VOL-, and MUTE keys to always send the code to the programmed TV or Set-top-box device regardless of the remote’s mode.
Press & hold the [MUTE] and [OK] keys simultaneously for about 3 seconds until the
indicator light flashes twice; release the keys.
Repeating this step will shift between enabled and disabled.
Enabled: the volume keys will transmit under TV mode.
Disabled: the volume keys will transmit under STB mode.
Code Protection
Note: this feature allows locking the codes programmed in place, requiring an extra step to avoid accidentally changing the codes.
Press & hold the [GUIDE] and [OK] for about 3 seconds until the indicator light flashes
twice; release the keys.
Repeating this step will shift between enabled and disabled.
Enabled: Code input or code search method cannot change the TV code. Disabled: Code input or code search method can program the code as usual.
Reset to factory default status
Press & hold the [STB POWER] and [OK] keys simultaneously for about 3 seconds until the
indicator light flashes twice; release the keys.
Low voltage indication
If the LED indicator flashes ten times when you press any key, it indicates the low voltage.
Please replace the batteries.
