Welcome to the help article for the AN-MR22GA Magic Remote. This guide will help you understand how to pair, re-register, and use your Magic Remote with your LG webOS TV. This article can also be used for other models such as the AN-MR18BA, AN-MR19BA, AN-MR20GA, AN-MR21GA, AN-MR22GA, and AN-MR23GN.

What is the Magic Remote?

The Magic Remote allows you to easily navigate your TV screen by moving and clicking the cursor, similar to using a mouse on a computer. If your Magic Remote is not provided, you can purchase it separately from MagicRemote.com.

Pairing the Magic Remote

To use your Magic Remote, you must pair it with your LG webOS TV. Follow these steps:

  1. Turn on your TV. After approximately 20 seconds, point the remote toward the TV and press the Wheel (OK) button.
  2. Automatic Registration: The remote will automatically register, and a pairing completion message will appear on the TV screen.

If the Magic Remote fails to register, turn the TV off and on again, then try registering again.

Re-registering the Magic Remote

If the pointer does not appear on the TV screen, you must re-register the Magic Remote. Follow these steps:

  1. Hold the remote control towards the TV and press the Back (arrow icon) and Home (house icon) buttons simultaneously for more than 5 seconds until instructions appear on the screen.
  2. Automatic Re-registration: The previously registered remote will be deregistered and then registered again.

Unregistering the Magic Remote

If you need to register the Magic Remote to a different LG Smart TV, you must first unregister it from the current TV. Follow these steps:

  1. Press the Back (arrow icon) and Home (house icon) buttons simultaneously for more than 5 seconds. The indicator light on the Magic Remote will blink, indicating the registration has been canceled.
  2. Register to a New TV: Follow the pairing method mentioned above to register the remote to a new LG Smart TV.
