Pairing instructions:
(if you have Pull strings) While the power to the fan is on, use the pull-chain switch to set the fan speed to the HIGH position before proceeding. Note: Most fans that require our remote do not have pullstrings.
- Turn the power off to the fan, either by the wall switch or the circuit box, and then turn it back on. (This resets the fan receiver)
- Within 3 minutes of restoring power to the fan, press both the Fan Off (0) button and the High (3) button and hold it for 5 seconds. The fan will turn on low to indicate successful syncing.
If it does not sync, try the process again. If using the transmitter with multiple fans, repeat this process for each. If still doesn’t work read information below.
Note: This Anderic remote is meant to replace the original Hunter® remote control and will only work with the original Hunter® receiver units. Anderic does not provide the receiver that goes with this remote. If a new receiver is needed, we suggest purchasing a replacement kit from Anderic.com.
Installation of the original Hunter® Receiver unit (if not already installed, sold separately): We do not provide the instructions, please refer to the installation guide that was originally provided with your Hunter® Universal Ceiling Fan Remote Kit.
Installing or changing the battery
Installing the wall mount:
To install the wall mount, remove the two screws holding your light switch cover plate. Do not remove the cover plate entirely. Orient the cradle by lining up the two mounting holes with those on the cover plate. Insert and tighten the screws. Do not over-tighten.
Features: Safe-Exit
The Safe-Exit Program gives you about thirty seconds of light when you turn the lights off to exit the room before the lights go out. To use Safe-Exit:
- Press the Fan Off button for at least three seconds to initiate the Safe-Exit Mode.
- The lights will flash for visual confirmation.
- The lights will stay on 50% (incandescent bulbs only) brightness for 15 seconds and then begin to dim. After a total of 30 seconds, the lights will be completely off. If CFL or non-dimmable LED bulbs are installed, the lights will stay at 100% brightness for 30 seconds before turning completely off.
- Ensure the power is on at the circuit breaker and the wall switch.
- Make sure the battery is working.
- Make sure that the transmitter and receiver are paired.
- Check wire connections inside the canopy to the receiver (the original manual will be needed for reference).
- The fan's remote control is erratic.
- Ensure that the battery is installed correctly.
- Install a fresh battery.
- The transmitter only works when held at a close range.
Troubleshooting: Lights do not dim
- Change the battery in the remote.
- Check to see if a CFL bulb or non-dimmable LED bulb is installed. The control has a feature that automatically detects CFL/LED bulbs and turns off dimming if a CFL bulb is installed. Incandescent bulbs work best for dimming.
CFL bulbs are flickering
- Make sure the lights are not dimmed. Turn lights on using the light key, then press and hold light key until bulb is fully bright and no longer flickers.
- Turn the light switch off and back on. Within three minutes, hold down the Fan Off button while pressing the Light button twice. If the problem is not corrected, repeat the process up to three times.
