[User Guide] Anderic KTN828 Universal AC Remote Control

The Anderic KTN828 is compatible with most air conditioners, including mini-splits and window units that require a remote control.

To access the rest of the keys, slide down the door panel on the front bottom of the remote. You will find the "SELECT" key for programming. Take note of the numbers on each key's bottom left corner, as these are used for entering the codes. For programming using code input, refer to the section below.

Installing Batteries

To install batteries, simply slide off the battery cover on the back of the remote. Please make sure to install 2 AAA batteries, taking note of the polarity marks located in the compartment. 

Programming using code input

  1. Take note of the codes beside your AC's brand in this manual's code section.
  2. Press the ”SELECT” key, and the code section on the screen will flash.
  3. Enter the first 4-digit code beside your brand from the code section.
    1. The Remote should now operate AC; if it does not, please repeat step 2 with the next code from the code section.
    2. After you find a working code, try other function keys to see if they work. If you feel that the other keys should be working, you can try a different code to see if there is a better code that works more fully. 

Programming using auto-search

If you do not know the brand of your air conditioner, or if your brand is not listed in the code table, please operate as per the following steps:


  1. Aim for the remote control on your air conditioner during this whole process.
  2. Press the “SELECT” key for 5 seconds and then release, the remote control has entered auto-search status. The remote is now sending codes continuously.
  3. When AC responds, immediately press any key on the remote to save the current code quickly.
  4. Try other function keys to see if the code works fully; if not, please repeat the steps above. 

Intelligent Cooling & Intelligent Heating

In the summer, press the “Intelligent Cooling” only, the air conditioner will be cooled immediately. In the winter, press the “Intelligent Heating” key only, the air conditioner will be heated immediately. In both status, the air conditioner will let the heating and cooling in a comfortable temperature automatically, and the fan and swing are all automatic. At the same time, user can also adjust the temperature by “Temp.+/-” keys as needed.

Clock set up

  1. Press the “CLOCK” key, and the clock signal flashes.
  2. Press the “Time +/-” keys to adjust the current time.
  3. Press the “CLOCK” key again to save and exit.

Notes:

  1. If you press the “TMR ON” or “TMR OFF” key twice, the timer will cancel.
  2. After setting the timer feature with the remote, make sure to put the remote in a stationary position in direct line of sight with the AC unit; otherwise, the timer feature will not work.
  3. If to view the remaining timer time, press the “TIMER ON” or “TIMER OFF” key.


Timer on

  1. Press the “TMR ON” key, and the time section on the LCD starts flashing.
  2. Press the “TIME +/-” keys to adjust the time you want to automatically turn the AC on automatically.
  3. The time on the LCD will stop flashing after 15 seconds. The setting is complete.


Timer off

  1. Press the “TMR OFF” key, and the time section on the LCD starts flashing.
  2. Press the “TIME +/-” keys to adjust the time when you want to make the AC turn off automatically.
  3. The time on the LCD will stop flashing after 15 seconds. The setting is complete.

Toggling Celsius & Fahrenheit

  1. Press the “C/F” key.

Sleep function

In the summer, press the “SLEEP” key while it is in cool mode; the temperature will be raised 1ºC per hour in the first 2 hours and shut off after 8 hours. In the winter, press the “SLEEP” key while in heat mode; the temperature will fall 1ºC per hour in the first 2 hours, and AC will shut off after 8 hours. After setting the sleep function, make sure to put the remote in a stationary position in the direct line of sight with the AC unit, or the sleep feature will not work.

Other notes about the KTN828


If the remote is to be stored and not used for a long time, please remove the batteries to avoid any possibility of corrosion or leakage due to the batteries going bad.
