The RR1004 Universal remote is programmed to LG TVs. However, we recommend using the instructions below to program the remote to other brands.
Removing (or exchanging dead) batteries will not reset the remote; the programmed codes should remain.
Programming Instructions

Power on the TV.

Press and hold the [POWER] and the [CH+] keys simultaneously for three seconds. Release the keys. The indicator light will illuminate, acknowledging that the remote is in programming mode.
Press and release either the [CH+] (to scan forward) or [CH-] (to scan backward) keys to scan through the code database.
NOTE: Each press of the CH+/CH- keys will send a new code to the TV.Or you many Press and hold the [CH+] or [CH-] keys to fast scan through the code database and release the key to stop the quick search.
Press the [SET] key to save and exit programming mode when the TV's volume displays on-screen. The remote will return to normal operating mode.

Try the remaining keys on the remote to confirm that the code works as expected if it does not, repeat the steps above.
NOTE: No operation for 10 seconds will quit the programming mode and return to regular function.
Programming Using Learning
- Press and hold the [POWER] and the [VOL+] keys simultaneously for five seconds. Release the keys. The indicator light will illuminate, acknowledging that the remote is in Learning mode.
- Align the top edge of the original remote with the top edge of the RR1004 (head-to-head) where top IR (lenses) align (facing each other) with a space of about 1-2 inches apart.

On the original remote, press and hold the first key you want to learn. The RR1004 indicator light will begin flashing to confirm it has read the signal, then on the RR1004, press and release the key you wish to assign the code. The indicator light will return to steadily on.

Repeat step 3 for the rest of the keys that require learning.

When complete, press and hold the [POWER] and the [VOL-] keys simultaneously, then release. The indicator light will turn off, and the remote will now be in regular operation.
NOTE: No operation for 25 seconds will quit the learning mode and return to regular function.
Resetting the Remote

Press and hold the [POWER] and the [OK] keys simultaneously for about three seconds. The indicator light will illuminate. Release the keys.

Press and release the [MUTE] key, then,

Press and release the [OK] key. The indicator light will flash four times and go out to confirm.
